Description: All volunteer organization, affiliated with Evanston Animal Shelter, dedicated to medically check and place for adoption stray Evanston dogs and cats to qualified homes.
Mission: Completely volunteer based, C.A.R.E. for the Evanston Animal Shelter is dedicated to provide for the needs of the animals at the shelter including: medical, food, and socialization; to place animals in safe, healthy environments based on guidelines developed by C.A.R.E.; to promote humane treatment of animals through the education of the community and to raise funds to provide for the medical care,(all shots and spaying or neutering) and food, as well as improvements at the shelter and to otherwise further the aims of the organization.
