Hello friends,

I am running the Chicago Marathon on October 12, 2008. I have been training for this event for some time but just recently decided to join Team World Vision and raise funds for the water system project in Zambia. 

World Vision is a non-profit organization that works with communities to help provide them with the things they need to become self-sustaining. That includes things like clean water, nutritious food, education, medical care, and economic opportunity. (To learn more about Team World Vision, visit http://www.worldvision.org/team.) 

I realize there is not much time left for fund raising – but “something” is better than “nothing”. No donation is too small!

Remember, all the proceeds from the marathon fundraising will go directly towards building clean drinking wells in Zambia.
