Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
As many of you know, I have been involved in animal rescue with several local organizations for more than 8 years now; I support this particular cause whole heartedly. All of my animals have come from 'rescue' situations:
Leo came to me as a 7 week old golden retriever/yellow lab mix puppy from Keystone Golden Retriever Rescue, abandoned with the rest of his litter in a trailer park, with parents tied out on chains. He grew up to be a wonderful, loving dog that is friends with everyone and just turned 7!
Lilly, short for Lillybird, is a beautiful 9 year old standard american eskimo mix who came to me from Furry Friends Network, set to be euthanized in a high kill shelter in WV; I scooped her up to be Leo's playmate and she went from being a very scared, 25 lb. emaciated and abused 'outside' dog, to a loving and healthy 36 lb. beauty queen. I do anything for my dogs and Lilly underwent cataract surgery 3 years ago which helped, but she is still almost completely blind. She lives a charmed life in my ranch house with low profile furniture that always stays in the same spot!
Rose is a teeny tiny toy american eskimo with a 'foxy' coat, who came to me from a loving family who were losing their home; I took her in through Eskie Rescuers United, but soon realized I could not part with this little one. She has a seizure disorder and is 10 years old but is a spunky, fun, cuddly furry friend who I adore!
And last but not least is my Andy, a 12 year old 3-legged mini american eskimo with a 'teddy bear' coat, who came to me as a pair with Rose. His former family told me he fell down stairs and had such a bad break that they had to decide whether to amputate or euthanize - and of course they chose to let him lose his leg and live out the rest of his life. He gets along well with only 3 legs and can be seen 'pogo sticking' in my yard playing with Leo most of the day! He recently had a tumor removed but is otherwise a very loving little teddy bear!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate, too!
Very gratefully yours ~ Cathie
