The Police Unity Tour begins each year on May 9th. Chapter 37 starts with a Memorial ceremony at the World Trade Center in honor of the 72 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty on 09/11/01. The Chapter then rides to New Jersey to join with the rest of the Tour. The Tour is a 300 mile, four day cycling event with more than 1,200 riders. The Tour arrives in Washington, D.C., on May 12th at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. The Police Unity Tour also attends the candlelight vigil which is held on May 13th at the Memorial.
