On Saturday, May 9th, 2009 I will be riding for a cleaner, safer future for ourselves and our children in the annual Chicago Climate Cycle.

Climate Cycle's inaugural benefit will raise money to put solar panels on local Chicago public schools and support green energy education. This saves both schools' and taxpayers' money by reducing schools' energy costs while lowering their greenhouse gas emissions, the primary cause of global warming.

Most importantly, Climate Cycle prepares children to become leaders in the emerging green economy. Each installation enables hundreds if not thousands of children to learn first hand how their school is working to reduce its carbon footprint and the technology making it possible. With schools spending more money on energy costs than textbooks and computers combined, the time to help schools decrease costs and empower our youth is now.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.  I hope you'll be able to give something even if it is small.
