A long-time children's advocate, Marian Wright Edelman, once said, "If we don't stand for children, then we don't stand for much."

And it's with that passion, drive, and hope that myself and my colleagues at Prevent Child Abuse New York work to prevent child abuse and neglect from ever happening.

We answer a statewide Parent Helpline to connect families with community services and provide information that may be important to them.  We develop and disseminate public information brochures, campaigns, websites, to educate the masses on what they can do to support families and prevent abuse.  We bring professionals together  for the highest quality training and professional development, ensuring that those who work with families do the best job that they can.  We examine, participate in, and translate research to enable better practice and smarter policies.  And we advocate with legislators, the media, anyone who will listen, to ensure that funding for prevention and policies that support families exist for our state.
