Welcome to the Chicago FORCE Mother's Day Fundraising Page 2009,

FORCE needs your help to raise money that will help support the wonderful Chicago FORCE support groups and surgery support efforts. The people who will benefit are mothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, daughters as well as male family members who support these courageous women in their journey.

Imagine a donation as small as $10 paying for a small bouquet of flowers guaranteed to generate a smile on a woman's face hours after undergoing a mastectomy. FORCE volunteers bring the flowers, in person to the hospital, along with a gentle hug and some extra words of encouragement since surgery can be very emotional and physically challenging. A donation as small as $35 can buy a simple home delivered dinner for a family in the tough weeks following surgery when grocery shopping and meal preparation is virtually physically impossible.

FORCE is made up of some of the most fantastic people you will ever meet. We are moms, sisters, aunts, daughters, grandmas, husbands, sons, uncles etc. We live throughout the Chicago area and look a lot like you. We drop our children off at preschool, grocery shop, dine at restaurants, work, go to the gym, and try to lead the most normal life we possibly can.

In 2009 we anticipate supporting a number of women, with your help. It will be through your donations that we hope to generate at least $5,000 to help support each of them.

I know we are all experiencing difficulties with the stress of a slow economy and deeply appreciate ANY size donation you are able to make.
