Mission: Children's Hospital Foundation raises funds solely for Children's Hospital Oakland. The hospital serves as the medical safety net for East Bay children and a regional and state pediatric center. The foundation's fundraising efforts aid the hospital in covering its nearly $9 million annual bill for charity care, as well as programmatic, equipment and capital needs. Gifts include individual, corporate, commemorative and memorial, in-kind, and company matching; cause marketing; corporate sponsorship, special events and community activities; donor clubs; holiday card sales; and wills and trusts.
