As most of you know Adelaide came to us (after we saw her on Hoboken 411.com-the premiere source of local news) as a foster dog for a one night stay--  that was four months ago.  She's here to stay.  Neither of us can imagine a day without her.  She is a mixed breed dog, we are almost sure that she is a Rhodesian Ridgeback-Pitbull.  As my mother put it: keep that dog away from kids, those are dangerous breeds....  Not!  Two of the most loyal breeds!  Adelaide (which means nobel and kind) loves kids, adults, and small little fuzzy white dogs.  Her best friend right now is Jake, a Pug (owned by the folks that run Biancomano',s Deli in Hoboken[unbelievable sandwiches!])  Watching this Mutt & Jeff run together is hysterical!  She might not know how big she is but she seems to understand than Jake is an 1/8th her size.  We have been very lucky as not ony is she cute, but has a personality to back it up!  Those of you that have met her know not to ask for a kiss as you will get more than one!  

We are asking for your support so that more dogs like Adelaide can find their forever homes and get the love and care that they deserve.  Give whatever you can afford --$1.00 to $1,000,000. Liberty Humane really is the cleanest, best run shelter in Hudson county.  After the debacle at HCSPCA, Liberty stepped up and took in all of the animals that were left in the lurch.(If you don't know what happened there, please ask us as we will explain; lets just say  NO animal should have been in those conditions).  They need our support now more then ever!  Plus, as you can see, Adelaide is a very pretty dog , a Very Very pretty dog (The amount of unsolicited pretty dog or what a beautiful dog comments we get is crazy! [We love it!])...and we want her to be the cover dog (yes, we're, or at least one of us is, so vain) of the Liberty Humane 2009 Calendar!   So next December we can give it to you all as a Holiday gift!   

Thanks everyone for donating!  Those of you that don't, well let's just say Adelaide is a really big dog (73 lbs now up from 52 ; all muscle) and has really big teeth! Just kidding! (not really ,her teeth are really big!)
