Thank you for visiting CICWI's fundraising page.Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
CICWI is dedicated to improving the lives of low wage workers and rallying faith communities in support of low wage worker struggles. We work in solidarity with many of Chicago's labor unions.
Our Building Bridges program provides remedial educational classes in preparation for entry into building trades' apprenticeship programs. Our goal is to increase the number of African Americans in the building trades. Our Workers' Center assists workers in wage and condition disputes with employers, as well as offering opportunities to work as a community on work issues. We also have an active media project (radio and television) documenting workers' lives. The Faith and Labor program recruits religious people and organizations to support low wage worker struggles and provides educational opportunities for faith communities to learn more about the lives of low wage workers and matters of economic justice. Labor in the Pulpit provides an opportunity for working people and labor union members to speak about the importance of their work as an act of discipleship. This is an annual event on Labor Day weekend.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
