My personal message:

I'm raising money for Bikes not Bombs by participating in the 62-mile ride in their Bike-a-thon.

Bikes not Bombs distributes donated bicycles (along with bike-maintenence know-how) around the world. They have partner organizations in Guatemala, El Salvador, Ghana, South Africa, and New Orleans. They also offer youth programs and advocate bicycle transportation in the Boston area.
