I invite you to support the yearlong fundraising efforts of the UNC-CH Dance Marathon at my school, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Over the past 11 years, the UNC-CH Dance Marathon has raised more than $2,000,000 to aid the hospital families of N.C. Children's Hospital.
I have signed up to be a dancer for the 2010 Marathon. The event will take place February 19-20 from 7:00pm-7:00pm. As a dancer, I will join more than 1600 of my fellow Tarheels as we stay on our feet for 24 HOURS in a show of symbolic support for the doctors, nurses, social workers and families of N.C. Children's Hospital. As a dancer, I am also raising money to contribute to our Marathon's fundraising effort.
You can help the Dance Marathon by sponsoring me. Your sponsorship will be used to support the patients and families in N.C. Children's Hospital. An example of where your money will go is the For the Kids Fund. The For the Kids Fund helps families keep their homes, turn on their heat, and clothe and feed their children. The funds you donate will not only provide for these families' needs, but it allows them to focus on what really matters-- caring for their children.
