| My personal message: |
Two year old Cole, who as a twin brother named Waylon, has shown autism like systems. He also has a history of language regression and is showing characteristics of sensory processing disorder.
A few months ago Cole started receiving ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy at Trinity Hill UCC Children's Place. This is a well known therapy for children with Autism and in the first couple of weeks, Cole has shown great improvement. The cost of the program is extremely expensive, $25,200 per year. Along with the ABA Therapy he will also be receiving occupational therapy and speech therapy which is included in the program. Early intervention is very critical at this age and with this therapy he will be able to mainstream into a typical classroom with his twin brother once he enters school.
Cole will be eligible for a grant on his 3ed birthday, which will cover the cost from Aug. through Dec. 2009
As parents, we are very aggressive in finding the funds and we are working with Building Blocks Foundation to coordinate funds from several places.
Program Cost Break Down
- A Year $25,200
- A Month $2,100
- A Week $484.62
- A Day $96.92
Any amount would greatly benefit Cole's progress.
We are trying to provide every opportunity possible for him to continue this positive growth.
