iMatter Annual Appeal 2011-2012

iMatter Annual Appeal 2011-2012

As you start to think about the causes you will be supporting this year through your own charitable giving efforts, stop and think about Community Options.  Community Options is a national nonprofit organization with the mission to develop homes and employment for people with disabilities.  Since 1989, Community Options has been moving people with disabilities out of institutions and into their own homes.

For just a second, think about what it would be like to spend the majority of your life in an institution when you had done nothing wrong to society.  Hard to comprehend, right?  People with disabilities that Community Options supports are those people.  People who have been segregated from society when they have done nothing wrong to society.  People who have had their basic everyday choices and rights taken away.

Well, no more!  Community Options operates over two hundred, small, community based homes and supports thousands of people with disabilities and their families.  We are advocates for inclusivity, real work for real pay and the opportunity to for people with disabilities to fully participate in their communities.

Your donation will go towards the development of a new home or the maintenance of an existing home that Community Options operates.  You can designate how you want your donation to be spent!  For example, if you want your donation spent on a new blender for a group home, we will purchase a blender with your donation for a group home.  If you want your donation to be spent on paint for a group home, your donation will be spent on paint for a group home.  You can rest assured that your donation will go towards the development of a new or already existing group that Community Options operates!

Help us to welcome home as many people with disabilities as we can this year by donating today.  We greatly appreciate your support!  For more information about Community Options, please visit www.comop.org.
