Starlight Children’s Foundation and Corbin Bleu – together making a world of difference for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses

 As a devout supporter of Starlight Children’s Foundation, I am inviting you to join in my efforts to support their important work. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of thousands of children! When a child or teenager has a serious medical condition, everyone in the family is affected. The kids, their parents and siblings struggle, in different ways, to grapple with the intrusion of illness or serious injury into their lives. 

 Starlight understands what families go through when a child is sick, and how important it is for families to find relief from constant worry and isolation. Starlight’s entertainment, education and family activities have been proven to distract children from their pain, help them better understand and manage their illnesses, and connect families facing similar challenges so that no one feels alone.

 I have spent many an afternoon with some of these families and have seen what the children and parents are going through. I am blessed with good health, and so I do whatever I can to help these kids who aren’t so lucky, to help them forget their worries for the time being and just have some fun. The young patients that I have met over the years are still only a few of the 15 million children in the country today struggling with a chronic or life-threatening illness. All of them should have access to Starlight’s programs.

Will you join me to help make that a reality? I am raising enough money to support 5 families for a year, to place a Starlight Fun Center – a mobile video game and DVD unit – in a hospital, and to place a Starlight PC Pal laptop computer in a hospital.
