I have become active in bicycling around May of 2009. The Police Unity Tour has been a driving force for me to get on the bike and ride long distances through town. I am originally from Madison (one town over from where the tour starts!!), and have many friends who have riden for this worthy cause in the past. The ride consists of 320 Miles in the saddle over 4 days (60,100,100,60).
I am asking for your support in reaching my goal to show a large support for the memorial which has names of officers I personnaly knew and worked with. To be able to ride from my home town to DC, through my current state of Maryland would be an awesome goal. To top it all off, I will be riding for all the fallen heros and the officers who put their life on the line everyday they put the uniform on. I am hoping to make this an annual trip on my bike to support what the tour stands.
For donations of $1000.00 or more, you will receive a commemorative gift and your name will appear on our support trailers.
As the time gets closer and closer, I am beginning to ride more. Still not as much as I probably should, but I am starting to get ready.
I have chosen to ride for Trooper Joshua Miller from the Pennsylvania State Police. There are many similarities between he and I. He was a DRE, which I am. He also has 3 children(girls). I have 3 boys! During his short time with the PA State Police, he was very successful in not only DUI enforcement, which I am passionate about, but he also helped capture 2 cop killers early in his career. To read more about his story visit http://www.trooperjoshuamiller.org/index.php and http://odmp.org/officer/19978-trooper-joshua-d.-miller
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please contribute anything you can to support this worthy cause and spread the word to anyone you think would be willing to support me.
I will try to keep you up to date on the progress I have made to prepare for the long bike ride for a great cause.
