The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA) is excited to host our Fourth Annual Grateful Dog Walk on Sunday, September 20th at 10 AM with registration beginning at 8:45 AM.
The Walk will begin on City Island at the Riverview Pavilion and end at Kunkel Plaza. It is a one mile route (www.cpaawoofstock.com/09_map.pdf); however participants may choose to walk as little or as much as they choose. Water stations will be available along the route for all participants, with fur or without! It is not necessary to have a dog to participate in the walk.

- T-shirts to the first 100 registrants raising $100 or more
- Goody bags to the first 150 registrants
- Registrants raising $100 or more will be entered into a raffle for one $100 Giant gift card.
- Prizes will be awarded to the top 2 fundraisers and the top dog pack.
- Prizes also will be awarded to dogs in the following categories:
- Big, Shaggy & Clumsy
- Look Down! I'm Just a Tiny Thing!
- Me?? Of Course I Know I'm Cute
- I May Look Rough but I'm a Pussycat
- Macho & Muscle You Say? Tell Me Somthing New
Participants will finish at Kunkel Plaza and help kick off WoofStock, CPAA's version of a doggie love in, at 11am. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and relax with your best friend. Listen to some good ole' rock n' roll or get down to tunes from some of PA's grooviest bands and acoustics performers. Enter your pooch in the Funkytown Pet Costume contest, check out the wonderful homeless pets making their debut in the ‘Rescue Me Rockin’ Mutt Strut’ or just enjoy the day!
All proceeds from The Grateful Dog Walk and WoofStock benefit member organizations and CPAA’s Spay/Neuter and Hounds of Prison Education (HOPE) Programs.

CPAA's Spay/Neuter Fund is used to spay and neuter hundreds of animals every year to help reduce the killing of homeless animals in our area as a means of population control. Spaying and neutering can also help pets live longer, happier and healthier lives by reducing the risk of cancer, reducing aggression, spraying, and other unfavorable behaviors.
