Cradle Beach Camp was founded in 1888 to provide education, training and leadership development in a recreational setting to children with disadvantages and those with special needs. Each year, more than 800 children with disabilities and those who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds participate in our residential summer enrichment camping program. We also provide year-round programming to 220 students in three Buffalo Public Schools through Project SOAR. Project SOAR is our intensive academic assistance, character development and improvement program, which utilizes tutoring and mentoring as a way to help low-income children improve academically. Lastly we also serve 160 individuals with developmental disabilities through our weekend respite program.
