Our personal message:
Thanks for visiting the fundraising page in memory of Dana Mangi. I cannot begin to put into words how amazing of a person Dana was. This description will not come close to commemorating her with the justice she deserves, but I am going to do my best. She was a truly inspirational, selfless, and compassionate woman. Her bubbly attitude, friendliness, openness, and accepting attitude made her the kind of friend everyone desires to have. Dana was always willing to grow and better herself, although she had already become a better person than most. She was not afraid to stand up for what she believed, and never swayed on her true morals. Her personality would have led her to be a remarkable veterinarian. Dana was taken from our world far too early. Her loss is atrocious and can never be assuaged. It is tragic that our class, the school of vet med, and her many future clients have been robbed of the opportunity to know her. I feel truly blessed to have had Dana in my life. I am happy to share my memories of her with everyone, and in doing so, keep her a part of our class. Dana was from Chicago, and her family asked that donations be made to the Anti-Cruelty Society in lieu of flowers, which is why I picked this society. I know we are all poor students, but please donate anything you can; even a small amount can make a difference. Donating is a great way to show the family and friends of Dana that she was genuinely a part of our DVM class and the school of Vet Med. Not only is this a way to express our regret of losing Dana, the money goes to a cause we all support - helping animals in need. Please send this to anyone you know who you think may want to support the family and friends of Dana, or the humane society. The donation page is not exclusive to the DVM Class of 2011. I chose the name in representation of the class Dana was supposed to be a part of and hopefully this will not deter anyone from donating. Thank you for all of your time and support. Rest in peace Dana. You will always be remembered.
