Project Salud y Paz (health and peace) is a ministry of health and healing for the people of God in need who live in Guatemala. It is a joint project of 3 entities: Iglesia Metodista Nacional Primitiva de Guatemala, The United Methodist Church, and International Hands in Service (a U.S. based 501c3 nonprofit corporation).

Please donate to help continue surgery for the Mayan people in the area surrounding Camanchaj, Guatemala.
Eight year old Ana is an example of one of the many Mayan's who has been helped. Ana is blind in one eye because of a congenital cataract. Her condition resulted in her not being able to see properly, plus her bad eye was so noticeable that she was being ostracized by other children. She definitely would not have been able to lead a normal life in her condition.
Ana attracted the attention of Dr. Foot, a Michigan optometrist from an earlier mission team. This little girl touched his heart. Dr. Foot was able to have an artificial eye made for her. Both of the team eye surgeons, Dr. Evans and Dr. Sponsel, members of University United Methodist Church's surgery team, worked together to remove the bad eye and prepare the socket for the artifical eye.
