I'm walking in the Samaritan's Run for Someone Else's life to celebrate the life and memory of my Uncle Steve.
It's been 5 years since Steve passed on and I think of him every day. He was so many things in his 51 years: son, grandson, brother, father, uncle, friend. He was a football star at Harvard, a scholar at Oxford, and a talented attorney.
Steve believed in me long before I knew to believe in myself, and for that I will always be grateful. I think he saw in me his own mix of fragility and strength.
It's taken me until now to reach out to the wonderfully supportive community Samaritan's offers, and I can attest to the life-changing work they do.
