About Dash for a Difference

Teams of two to five individuals race across the city in a quest to serve others and raise funds for Boston Cares.  Most sites will be mini volunteer projects, while others will be learning-oriented, where teams must piece together clues to gain points.  Upon the completion of the task at each site, teams will get a clue to their next destination.  It's an amazing adventure in teamwork and volunteerism.

Each individual is responsible for raising a minimum of $100 in pledges (with the registration fee contributing to this amount).  All funds raised benefit Boston Cares, a non-profit organization that annually organizes over 2,400 teams of volunteers in service to Greater Boston.  Great prizes for top finishers and top fundraisers.

What Your Donation Supports

• $60: Generates tutors for 10 adults studying for the GED exam at X-Cel
• $125: Creates murals for a neighborhood center used by 500 children
• $200: Supports 50 special athletes training for the Special Olympics
• $250: Mobilizes 25 volunteers for 5 days of disaster relief service at Hands On New Orleans
• $400: Helps Frosty's Friends provide winter holiday gifts for 3,000 needy children
