Melanoma is curable if caught early. Tell the story - save a life!
Thank you for visiting Kerry & Skylar's Virtual Lemonade Stand, benefiting the Melanoma Research Foundation.
The twins never met their father, Kerry Daveline, who lost his five-year battle with melanoma before they were born. Kerry was an extraordinary husband, brother, son and friend. He would have been a wonderful father had he not been robbed of the chance. Kerry's friends and family support the Melanoma Research Foundation so that others will not face such a painful loss. Every hour of every day, someone in the U.S. dies from melanoma - one of the fastest rising cancers in the U.S., but also one of the least funded.
For seven years, Kerry's friends Kevin West and Michael Moynahan have held the Hack 'N Smack Celebrity Golf Tournament in Kerry's memory to raise money for the MRF. The twins want to do their part by raising money - along with raising awareness - by reaching as many people as possible to warn about this killer disease.
Melanoma is curable if caught early. Be vigilant about having new or changing moles checked by a dermatologist. Kerry's G.P. assured him the new growth on his head was nothing to worry about - though now we know it had all the signs of a melanoma. Had we read a message like this back then, Kerry could still be with us today.
Skylar and Kerry hope to sell 250 cups of virtual lemonade for $1 each, while educating about the danger of melanoma. Please spread the word by forwarding this to everyone you can, and posting the link on your Facebook and MySpace pages. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. Thank you for helping Kerry's Girls meet their goal!

Many, many thanks for your support.
