Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
My dear father in-law David F. Baker, fought 2 years of an undaunting battle of Carcinoid Cancer. This very rare form of cancer that consumes the small intestine, the liver or both with tumors. According to the American Cancer Society, a surprising number of only 2,500 carcinoid tumors are diagnosed each year in the United States. The average expected years to live with this disease is only 2 to 5 years. David was diagnosed March 25, 2007, ironically he died March 25, 2009 - 2 years to the day.
There is no normal method of treatment for this kind of rare cancer. That is why we need your help. Try imagining your loved one diagnosed with cancer. Then imagine them diagnosed with this type of cancer that can not be treated by chemotherapy or an organ transplant David, his wife Mary and his three sons, Shaun, Jamie and Scott were told just that, there was no hope or alternatives. As time passed, the rapidly moving disease revealed it’s frightful face and sadly we watched David wither away. My family and I would like your help with continuing research for a cure. Any donation is appreciated. David was a most generous person. We’d like to honor his memory by returning the favor. Rest in Peace David.
Through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don’t forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate in too in David’s name.
