Help Continue the Spirit of Holiday Giving this Year.  DONATE NOW to Help Provide a Holiday Filled with Warmth, Love & Compassion for the Animals of the DRHS.

Sung to the tune of "The Christmas Song"

Dogs of all shapes behind a kennel door.

Cats and critters by the score.

Shelter workers keep them safe, warm and dry.

As folks walk by they hope they’re spied.

Everybody knows the bills pile up this time of year.

Your help will sure bring us some cheer.

Four legged friends with their eyes all aglow...

Dream of homes they hope to go.

They know that Santa’s on his way.

He’s loaded lots of toys and rawhides on his sleigh.

And every dollar helps our shelter pets

to fill your heart with warmth and no regrets.

And so, we’re offering this simple plea

on behalf of pets that cannot speak

Although its been said many times, many ways...

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to You!

Our Need:

On On average, DRHS staff takes in 15 animals every single day, 365 days a year.

·         Our animal intake has increased by 64% since 2004!

·         We have not only increased the number of animals that we care for, we have added more community outreach programs, educational programs and staff which requires much more room.  We have grown from a staff of three people caring for 1,800 animals to a staff of 25 full and part time people caring for over 5500 animals at two locations.

Here's how you can help:

Donate Now!  Donations to the DRHS help us care for the over 5,000 animals we care for per year. Just go up to the upper right hand side of the page and click DONATE below "donate to this non-profit".

Start a fundraising page.  Get your friends and families members to help you in raising the much-needed funds for the shelter.

The DRHS is committed to building lifelong bonds between people and animals through adoptions, education, community outreach programs and prevention of cruelty.  We receive no state or federal funds and are not recipients of United Way funds.  We appreciate your continued support!
