About the Delaware SPCA
The Delaware SPCA is the oldest animal welfare organization in the State, providing continuous service to pets and their companions for more than 139 years. We care for over 3,500 homeless and abused animals each year at our two shelters in Stanton and Georgetown. In addition, we protect animals from neglect and abuse through our Humane Law Enforcement Program, and operate the only High-Volume, High-Quality Spay/Neuter Clinics in the state, providing affordable services to the community and animal rescue groups.
The Delaware SPCA receives no state or county funding and is not associated with any other SPCAs or national organizations; we are a non-profit organization that depends on local donations.
