Hello Everyone,

As many of you know, I have been volunteering at PAWS for a little over a year now. PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO ON THE SIDE

On Saturday, October 25, I will participate in the PAWS Mutt Strut, which will bring animal lovers and their pets together for a 1.5-mile scenic walk through FDR Park. We will raise badly needed funds for PAWS’ lifesaving programs including adoption outreach, spay/neuter clinics, and low-cost vaccination services. We will also raise awareness of the harsh reality that thousands of healthy and treatable animals are killed in Philadelphia each year, simply because they do not have homes.

You can help in two ways:

1. Join the Mutt strutt youself either alone ($25), with your own dog ($25), or rent a dog from PAWS for the day ($50).

2. Sponsor my efforts by making a donation:

Some of you may say that your not sponsoring an animal, because you don't like them! Well even so I know that after watching the video your not the type of person that will stand by and watch an animal be brutally beat or killed are you? So please help me raise money!

THE MEANING OF RESCUE

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed,
I'd like to open my baggage,
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.

Hmmm...Yes, there it is, right on the top,
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my perch hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave,
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.

I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?

Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage, to never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?
