HI
The Bright Side of Road Foundation
Most of us are so fortunate that we can choose to train, everyday we have the option which may depend on a variety of things, but the option is there. Some are not so fortunate.

Barry Winovich, along with his family and his friends, founded the Bright Side of the Road Foundation in 2006 soon after Barry’s diagnosis with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.”
Money raised will go towards research at Cleveland Clinic to find a cure for this debilitating condition.
As part of my training I completed the Fools 50K Trail race, probably one of the hardest and most enjoyable things I have ever done. Training through the winter was a huge challenge, getting used to dressing and fuelling for the snow had its ups and downs (literally). Nice was really hot and dry with a gusty wind in the hills, thankfully we had a few similar days in Cleveland so I wasnt totally unprepared for the weather.

I have been fortunate enough to link up with the Right side of the Road team and ; as part of our fundraising efforts we aim to complete at least 4 century rides during the Ohio cycling season. I have already completed 3 officialcentury rides and numerous "long" training rides.

It was great joining a large group of my UK mates from the Meynall Valley Hunters Triclub in Nice, most of us were racing for a worthy cause, each hoping that our efforts will make a difference, but this cant be achieved without YOUR SUPPORT.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Please give whatever you can, every bit counts towards to the big picture.
Remember, whatever you are going through things could always be worse – always look on the bright side
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
