Orange Grove Center has been an important part of my life for 23 years. Being a part of the Center has been very rewarding and challenging. Rewarding in regard to the impact Orange Grove makes in the lives of our 650 developmentally disabled individuals every day. Challenging in relation to lack of or insufficient funding for services provided to our clients.
Capital needs are always a challenge as there are barely enough funds for day-to-day operational needs. On January 7, 2008, we started a Capital Campaign to raise funds to upgrade facilities, expand programs, especially in relation to Autism services and the construction of four (4) new homes to serve seniors who have reached retirement age. Since we are in the midst of our Campaign, staff members have a goal to raise $300,000 for the Campaign. By this personal fund-raising page, I am asking you to support our Campaign. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. If you are not comfortable making a donation on-line, you can mail a check to my attention at Orange Grove Center, Inc., 615 Derby Street, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Your donations are tax deductible and will be very beneficial to our Capital Campaign.
