Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is a 70-acre, non-profit resort in Central Florida that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. GKTW provides accommodations at its whimsical resort, donated attractions tickets, meals and more for a week-long, cost-free fantasy vacation. With the help of many generous individuals, corporations and partnering wish-granting organizations, Give Kids The World has welcomed more than 85,000 families from all 50 states and over 60 countries. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page to help Disney Fans build a villa for the children of Give Kids The World Village! The healing power of a child’s wish to meet Mickey Mouse, dance with a princess, or enjoy any other of Walt Disney World Resort’s magical offerings resonates with all the fans of Disney’s magical theme parks and resorts! That’s why I'm collecting pledges in support of this wonderful organization.
Give Kids The World has made a promise to never turn down a child in need. Currently, for 70 percent of the year, the Village has over 100 percent occupancy, meaning some families must stay in a nearby hotel during their Wish Trip. For this reason, Give Kids The World Village is in the midst of its largest expansion project in its history.
Each year there are 25,000 children in the US who are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Half of those children will make their dream wish to visit Central Florida. To help accommodate these wishes, GKTW is almost doubling in size so that 196 family villas will be onsite. Every person you tell about the Village and its mission, will help bring GKTW one step closer to achieving this goal.
