Our Mission - Doctors Giving Back is a non profit, medical relief organization that conducts health outreach programs in undeveloped and impoverished African countries. Our goal is to greatly reduce the incidence of preventable diseases in this part of the world. To accomplish this we provide medical care, medical supplies, immunizations, medications, food, clothes, health education and clean water programs to the destitute people living in these countries.
The Need - Basic healthcare in Africa is very limited and in some remote areas, almost non-existent. Most of its people suffer from diseases such as Malaria, Tuberculosis, Typhoid, Intestinal Parasites, and AIDS. A STAGGERING 85% OF THESE DISEASES ARE CAUSED BY UNCLEAN WATER. Many of these illnesses can be improved or eliminated with clean water programs, basic medical care and preventative health education.
Teams - Our medical teams are made up of people from many walks of life including doctors, nurses, teachers, students, homemakers, engineers, accountants, business executive and others, all with the desireof giving hope to those less fortunate than ourselves.
