Join more than 1,000 other animal advocates and their four-legged friends for Washington's biggest dog walk -- the 19th annual
Dog-A-Thon!  Held at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, this fun, family event has something for everyone:  A one-mile stroll or a four-mile hike, dozens of pet-related booths, demonstrations, contests, entertainment, a barbeque, and much more!  Best of all, the walk benefits homeless animals at the Humane Society.  Last year, the Dog-A-Thon netted $137,000 for our furry friends, and we need your help to raise even more in 2009!

YOU HELP SAVE LIVES

Last year, every adoptable dog that came to the shelter found a loving home.  That's an exciting milestone for the Humane Society, and we couldn't have done it without you!  

With your support, each year more than 9,000 homeless animals are adopted or reunited with their owners, 1,200 orphaned, ill, or unsocialized pets are fostered, 5,000 pets are  spayed and neutered for low-income owners, and more than 3,000 hungry dogs and cats are helped through our Emergency Pet Food bank.   

Your Dog-A-Thon pledges fund these life-saving programs.  They also provide medical care, food, shelter, bathing supplies, and many other essentials for shelter pets.  We couldn't do it without you!
