Beautiful Koda lost his home locally when his family lost their home and had to move to a trailer park.
Before coming to Dog Rescue Society, Koda was slated for euthanasia at a no kill shelter through no fault of his own. While at the shelter Koda received his rabies booster but his infections went undetected. Koda was a very weak and sick dog when we brought him to Dog Rescue Society.
After hospitalization and treatments by our veterinarian for a severe parasite infection and emaciation he was adopted to a wonderful local family and their children. Koda's treatment cost us close to $600.00.
We would like to help more dogs like Koda but need kennels and fencing for their containment, comfort and safety.
Please help us keep up with the need and provide a safe, comfortable haven for the animals until they have a new home.
For almost a decade we have taken the "hard cases" nobody wants because of breed or health problems and found them wonderful homes. We have proven we can do a good job with the hard to place animals for the community. Please help us continue to do better for EVERY animal in need that we can help.
In order to do this we have a basic need for sturdy kennels and fencing. Our modular kennels cost $349.00 each and we buy them locally from Tractor Supply.
Basic veterinary care including spay and neuter is another basic need. It has to be done. We are to be the example. If we do not honor the animals by providing the proper basic care and environment how can we expect our community to do it?
Please be a part of our growth by stepping up to meet the need in helping our community's homeless animals.
