Dear Reader:
Wow! Some exciting things have happened since I wrote my first First Giving letter. I have been awed and humbled by the responses I have had. This has been a learning experience for me and I am sincerely grateful to have had this opportunity. Also, I would like to add that the Capital Campaign has spurred giving in other areas, which has been great.
Since this campaign began, I have hit a milestone. As of June 18th, I am 50 years old. My Orange Grove family gave me a surprise party in the Tyber Building, complete with black recycled plastic and black balloons. Most precious to me were the handmade cards from the people we serve. A lot of them are growing old along with me. I am a little amazed that some of us have made it this far! As of July 1st, (today), I have officially worked at Orange Grove Center for over half of my life!! Wow!
So, I am going to wind down my part of the Capital Campaign with asking those of you who have not made a donation yet to consider doing so, a 50th birthday gift for me. This is what I truly want: my clients at Orange Grove to benefit. I realize the need for additional support as our people age and I am also seeing that we need to address the Autism issues. Please consider helping me reach my goal of $2,000 ( I am soooooo close!). Think of it as purchasing a part in the future of Orange Grove Center. Don't wait until I reach 100 years! (which I am planning on!)

As we age, we never know how long we have left on Earth. I am grateful for each day that I am here, and want you to feel like that, too. So, this is my last missive for the Capital Campaign. I am asking you to make a tax-deductible donation to Orange Grove Center.
