National Center On Shaken Baby Syndrome

(NCSBS) is a nonprofit organization focused on preventing shaken baby syndrome (SBS) and providing support for families and victims. The NCSBS works with community groups, professionals, hospitals and medical providers to educate parents and caregivers about infant crying and the dangers of shaking a baby. The NCSBS also provides services, resources and referrals for victims and families, as well as for professionals involved in the legal, medical, law enforcement and prevention aspects of shaken baby syndrome and infant abuse.

Mission: The NCSBS has a mission to prevent shaken baby syndrome through the development and implementation of education, programs, public policy and research; to establish networks, support and train families, caregivers and professionals.
