The Buddy Walk has three primary goals:
  1. To promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down Syndrome
  2. To raise funds locally and nationally for education, research, and advocacy programs
  3. To enhance the position of the Down Syndrome community, enabling us to positively influence local and national policy and practice
Services provided by DSAGNO:   

 

Members of DSAGNO work with community leaders and government agencies to educate the community toward a greater understanding of the issues facing people with Down syndrome. We act as a clearinghouse for Down syndrome information, advocate in our schools for inclusion programs, work with other agencies to develop programs that benefit people with Down syndrome, and sponsor events that will raise awareness about Down syndrome and the people who have it.  
 
It is only through the generosity of others that DSAGNO is able to provide an array of services to children and adults with Down syndrome. By donating to the Buddy Walk, you make a real difference in the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families. There are thousands of people in the United States living with Down syndrome today. That number is growing as people with Down syndrome now live into their fifties and sixties with improved standards of living and health care, and inclusion in family and community life. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals from infancy through adulthood and your support will help us to continue our mission.

Registration Options: 

Individual Event Registration: $10  (Includes event entry, food, beverages, and activities.) 

Event Registration and DSAGNO Membership: $20 (Includes event entry, food, beverages, and activities.  Also includes a yearly DSAGNO membership at a 50% reduction if you purchase it during this process. Membership perks include access to helpful resources, social activities, current research, informational seminars, and a powerful network of advocates for the Down syndrome community. A DSAGNO membership is another great way to support the organization.) 

Additional Family Member Registration: $5  (Includes a reduced rate for family members of registrants.)  

Note: There is no fee for children under 2 and individuals with Down syndrome.
