5K & Family Festival!
NEW NAME, MORE FUN!
This year, DSAGR is excited to offer a new and improved 5K & Family Festival, starting with a new name: Step UP for Down Syndrome 5K & Family Festival! Our new name allows 100% of the funds raised at the event to remain in the Greater Richmond area, thereby providing even more opportunities for DSAGR to improve the quality of life of individuals with DS and their families. Based on participant feedback, we have also combined the walk and run into one 5K, or shorter if you prefer. We also promise to offer all the Buddy Walk Family Festival favorites!

PARTICIPATE:
1. WALK or RUN: Register to walk or run our 5K by clicking on START FUNDRAISING at the top of this page! Choose the "5K REGISTRATION" link. Create your fundraising pg. (see #4) after completing registration when prompted. If you register for the 5K, you are automatically registered for the FREE FAMILY FESTIVAL! 5K Walker & Runner registrants will receive a t-shirt & race packet. Additional race details and course map at http://www.rrrc.org/xn/detail/2449396:Event:127937. *ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES 10/3/11 at 11:59pm*
2. PLEDGE: Find your favorite fundraising pg. by clicking on "view all fundraising pages" & make a donation.
3. CREATE A FUNDRAISING PAGE!
Collect pledges for our event with a fundraising pg.! ANY individual/group can create a fundraising pg., including Team Captains (individuals with DS), walkers, runners, volunteers, virtual participants, friends, family, businesses, community groups, & more! Link your fundraising pg. to your favorite Team when prompted. *NEW* Team Captains who fundraise $150 or more will receive #1 FREE Step UP for Down Syndrome 5K & Family Festival cling on decal! Teammates' registration fees count toward your Team Captain's fundraising total!
4. VOLUNTEER: Register by clicking on START FUNDRAISING at the top of this page! Choose the "VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION" link. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt (quantities permitting) & Chick-fil-A sandwich. Volunteers may begin picking up their t-shirts at 5am on Saturday October 8, 2011, in the Short Pump Town Center Community Room. Create your fundraising pg. (see #4) after completing registration when prompted. *ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSED 9/30/11 at 11:59pm*
