Down Syndrome Association of West TN is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome by providing programs and support, information, and education to those individuals, their families, professionals, and the communities that make up the West Tennessee region.
The DSAWT is funded by support from individuals and businesses, community organizations, and ongoing fundraising events throughout the year. Fundraising proceeds from our Firstgiving fundraising pages go directly to help support programs and events for families who have a member with Down syndrome.
Among the programs and events that individuals with Down syndrome and their families benefit from your support and donations are Camp Imaginarium - a four week academic summer camp for children and young adults with Down syndrome, Teen Club - a teen group that meets monthly with peers from the community to do things that teens love to do like go out to eat or see a movie, Annual Family Christmas event, Family Picnic, Parent educational workshops, and Advocacy training.
Your tax deductible donation can be made using a credit card by following the steps provided. All transactions are secured by Firstgiving. You will receive a confirmation email which can be used as proof of your donation for tax purposes.
2012 DSAWT Buddy Walk
October 27th at Jackson Generals Field / Pringles Park
Celebrate your friends who have Down syndrome and the upcoming October National Down Syndrome Awareness Month by joining us for a fun morning of activities and entertainment at the ball field! Proceeds from the Buddy Walk help to support Camp Imaginarium and other programs and events for people with Down syndrome and their families.
