The Angelman Syndrome Foundation seeks to improve the lives of individuals with Angelman Syndrome (AS), and their families. Through education, information exchange and support for research individuals, families, healthcare and education professionals benefit from a greater understanding of AS and improved therapies and treatment. Our ultimate goal is prevention and cure. The ASF National Walk-A-Thon brings us one step closer to realizing this dream.

My personal message:
Thank you for considering donating toward research and education on Angelman Syndrome. This rare syndrome affects 1 person in 15,000, so it receives little media attention. It is often undiagnosed, or misdiagnosed, so it may be more prevalent than we think. The only way to truly understand the depth and causes of this disorder is through research, but since the syndrome is rare, funds are hard to get. For this reason we have created this fund raising page to raise funds that go directly to education and research. (If you want to know more about Angelman Syndrome please visit the Foundation's web site at
http://www.angelman.org
)
All of your contributions will go directly to ASF. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to ASF. All contributions are tax deductible.
By donating, and joining the E-Team Riders, you are directly funding needed research that has the potential to have far reaching effects. Thank You!
