When night falls in Boston, 6,200 people have no place to call home. Many of these men and women turn to Pine Street Inn for help, and each is welcomed as a guest. Founded in 1969, Pine Street Inn is New England's leading resource for homeless and formerly homeless individuals. Pine Street serves 1,200 men and women each day through street outreach, emergency shelter, job training, and affordable housing.

| My personal message: |

Dear Friends,
Many of you know that this charity hits very close to home. My brother has been a frequent visitor, and enjoyed the hospitality of Pine Street Inn. Homelessness is a prevalent issue in Boston, and I am grateful for the kindness that has been extended to people like Rick.
Although we haven't found a solution to many of the social issues facing alcoholics, it is projects like the knit a thon that bring small elements of comfort to people that would otherwise feel no warmth.
Someone once asked me " How do you eat an elephant?" "One bite at a time." I have been told. Please help me by knitting, if you cannot knit, please help me with a donation.
With thanks,
Ed
