I wrote 50,205 words to make me a NaNoWriMo winner. Only about 16% of those who sign up reach the finish line. My novel isn't finished. I think it will take about 7,000 to reach the end. I'm still writing, typing about 1,600 words per day.

Well, as of today I am about 15,000 words behind. Which means instead of sitting here writing this update I should be typing my fingers to the bone while having the noveling document open. It's titled "Arcana" and unlike last year I haven't changed the title once. You can see a small excerpt in my NaNoWriMo profile page.

Thanks for the support. I'm really looking forward to the "Thank God It's Over" party on Saturday. And I get to go whether I reach 50,000 or not. Isn't that nice?

As of today, I have written 13,512 words. You would think that having written so many words I must actually have a plot by now. The truth is I have part of a plot and about six characters. I don't know the characters really well yet. The novel is not quite as weird as it started out. What was mystical adventure has turned into a romantic comedy and now seems to be teetering on the edge of science fiction. What ever it is it will be 50,000 words (at least) by November 30th - god willing and my computer doesn't freeze up! heh heh

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'll be slaving away like a maniac writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). E-mail will pile up and dust bunnies will run rampant under my bed – much like a normal month!

To raise money for the wonderful organization that got me going (Office of Letters and Light – see blurb at left), I'm having a Write-A-Thon in conjunction with NaNoWriMo. You can boost my morale and keep my mind away from dust bunnies and other distractions by donating here.
