We're celebrating the 40th year of the Opportunity Village Benefit Walk!  The first "Youth March" was held in 1970, with hundreds of teenagers walking 10 miles from Garner or Mason City to Clear Lake, Iowa.  This was before the Village even was built.  In the past 39 years, we surpassed $1 million raised by the Walk for services at the Village.

We're celebrating this anniversary in the spirit of the '60s and '70s.  People were out to change the world back then.  So take a hike, man!  Help change the lives of people with disabilities by making a gift to Opportunity Village.

I've worked at the Village for 24 years now (yikes!) and the Benefit Walk is one of the events I organize as part of my job.  I see first-hand every day what your gifts can do for individuals with special needs.
