Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
On November 9, 2008, my 10K run is dedicated to and in memory of all of my lost loved ones, the lost loved ones of my family and friends, and all lost loved ones throughout the world.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
About World Run Day
Founded in 1999 by Long Island Runner Bill McDermott, the event is intended to promote the sport of running and charitable giving on one special day each year. Started with just 100 runners worldwide, runners connected and impacted their communities in a positive way. As a result, World Run Day was the only event celebrated simultaneously around the globe by people of all backgrounds, faiths, nationalities, and benefitted their favorite charity. Soon group events formed in different cities such as World Run Day - Philadelphia, World Run Day - London, World Run Day - Sydney, etc. (Even "World Run Day - Afghanistan" was celebrated during wartime). The event was designed to allow every runner, whether with a group or running individually, to be a part of the day.
Since 1999, thousands of people in hundreds of cities worldwide have united their passion for fitness with their desire to help others on World Run Day—an international day of running and charitable giving. Participants around the globe are encouraged to participate in the event and donate to their favorite charity.
Event Directors and volunteers are requested to host events in locations worldwide. Participants are asked to run—any distance, anywhere—in organized events, small groups, or individually in the Virtual Run. From Seattle to London, Philadelphia to Sydney and anywhere in between, join us in celebrating World Run Day this November. Help promote an international day for running and charitable giving.
