Hello Friends and Family!!

I hope this finds everyone well!!  Welcome to my firstgiving page!!

I have decided to run the Beach to Beacon this year which is a 10K race in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, my hometown!  The race was founded by Olympian Joanie Benoit Samuelson and every year brings out some of the best runners in the world.  This years race is on August 1, 2009 start time 8:00am.  

I have made the decision to run and raise money for a wonderful cause, one that is close to my family's heart, the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation. 

My mother, Nancy, and my father, Tim, are both very involved in this organization and are current board members.  They established the "Thompson Award" in memory of their son, (my brother) Timmy Thompson, which seeks to recognize that faculty or staff member who goes above and beyond the call of duty in reaching out to and mentoring students.  If you would like to learn more about CEEF.....here is the link.. http://www.ceef.us/thompson-awards/ 

I have agreed to raise at least $300 for the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation by June 1st.

I know I already hit some of you up at the last family party (The Butlers, The Frates, Cousin Pete, Fysal, Kristen, Uncle Mike and Auntie Cathi to name a few...) but I would be ever so grateful if any of you could make a donation-no donation is too small!!!
