• Show how the funds raised help Emmaus create solutions to the growing problem of homelessness.

  Cycle for Shelter riders pledge to raise a minimum of $150 in addition to the registration fee. $25 from just 6 people in your address book will reach this goal and 90% will go directly to support program services. Emmaus must raise $7,000.00 every week just to continue our current services. With your help we hope to meet increasing needs so please try to raise more than the minimum.

• Since the last Cycle for Shelter, in July 2009, Emmaus' Housing Services Department has placed over 100 families out of homelessness & into permanent housing. Emmaus staff will continue to offer on going support to ensure long term success. This Emmaus program is ranked "number one" in Massachusetts.

• In 2009, with the opening of Evergreen Place in March, Emmaus raised the number of affordable housing units it has created to 83. None of the men and women who call Emmaus "home" ever expected to become homeless but a health or personal crisis came along.

• Funds raised by you and your sponsors through Cycle for Shelter will help Emmaus continue to offer needed services to 2,000 people each year who have no where else to turn.
