So Angie and I put in about 20-30 hours a month volunteering at animal shelters and have fostered over 22 dogs in the past 2 years. Needless to say any chance to help out needy dogs or cats I am eager to jump at. Mackenzie's is very unique in that it is a no kill shelter that specializes in training and mentally engaging the dogs. They are really doing some wonderful stuff for dogs who have been left behind by society and in order to continue that sort of amazing work takes funding.
Which is where Da Murph & I come in, we are walking in the 2nd Annual Pups & Pucks with the Grand Rapids Griffins on Oct 12th from 5:30 to 8pm at Mackenzie’s, which is located at 8935 Thompson Rd in Lake Odessa. And you can help by pledging some money to help needy dogs and make a difference in the lives of some brilliant animals.
Even if you don't pledge I thank you for taking a moment to read this and maybe it will move you to volunteer at your local shelter and help out in your own way and if that happens, I am good with that.
Until Oct 12, Murph and I have training to do.
Cheers.
