MISSION STATEMENT: The EFSEW will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy through, services, education advocacy and research.
Epilepsy is the medical term used to describe the more than 20 conditions characterized by recurrent seizures. Epilepsy can affect ANYONE, at ANY AGE, at ANY TIME. There are 30,000 individuals affected by epilepsy in our four county Southeast Wisconsin area (Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington) and 44-50% of those diagnosed with epilepsy are NOT medically controlled at this time.

ONLINE REGISTRATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JUNE 20th! This DOES NOT mean that your tshirt will have your team name on it. If you have not registered as of today (06/12/09), your shirt WILL NOT have your name on it!
If you register with a TEAM after June 5, 2009, YOUR SHIRT WILL NOT HAVE YOUR TEAM NAME ON IT!
This year's Walk/Run will be held on June 28, 2009 at Veteran's Park!
Day of registration starts @ 7 and the Walk/Run starts @ 9!
We encourage you to create your own web page, use a favorite photo of yourself or the person you are fun raising for and email it to friends, who, in turn, can email it to their friends! Be creative and make your web page as much fun as possible! We will have A Fun Run for Kids will be held after the Awards Ceremony has been completed. Each child who participates will get a prize. The 2009 Brainstorm 3K Walk/5K Run for Epilepsy and Seizure Awareness is a family oriented event and fun for everyone, including the youngest members of your family! We're looking forward to seeing you at the starting line on June 28th (rain or shine).
