Hello!

American Greyhound, Great Lakes, has many fundraisers throughout the year and you can sign up for any of them through this page.  You can start your new year by plummeting into the icy waters of Lake Michigan in our Annual Polar Plunge.  The plunge takes place on New Year's Day at North Avenue Beach and is followed by a gathering at the Old Town Tap.  In the spring, you can take part in the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini Marathon in Indianapolis.  This is one of the most popular running events in the Midwest!  In late summer, our running team takes part in a Chicago area half marathon.  Finally, in October, it's marathon time.  American Greyhound is an officially recognized charity of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.  Signing up for any of these events is a fun way to get involved with our organization and raise some money to save the lives of many retired hounds!
