Hello Everyone,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
This is my first time participating in the Mutt March that benefits the local Pet Refuge.
I was blessed earlier this year and was given the opportunity to adopt my beautiful chow chow Mei Lin. Mei Lin's entire family (mom and dad & 4 pups were rescued from a drug raid and with the help of SB animal control, Pet Refuge, Linda's Camp K-9, Chow Refuge and Kryder Vet Clinic these wonderful pure bred cream/caramel chows were given a second chance. Unfortunately, the parents were not well and didn't make it.
After losing both our girls (Keke - Red Chow Dec. 2007 & Gigi- blonde chow Aug.2008 after 14 wonderful yrs we were very sad. We went through the winter of 2008-2009 and decided we would maybe contact breeders in the spring.
In early March I got a call letting me know about the pups and that they were going up for adoption. Chan and Mei Lin were at Pet Refuge, safe and sound. Their other brother and sister had some health issues and were being attended to by Chow Refuge. The first time I saw Mei Lin she filled my heart with joy and I didn't look back.
Her brother was adopted by a wonderful individual in South Bend. He is happy and healthy. Olivia and Chopper (the other two pups) are also adopted and living together in a wonderful loving home.
The Pet Refuge helps hundreds of dogs and cats each year with little funding. I would appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to help this wonderful organization help others animals, giving them a second chance and a loving home. Even the smallest donation will help. Thank you!
A personal THANK YOU goes out to Aunt Linda (Mei Lin's foster mom) and Dr Tracy for bringing her to me. Hugs to both!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
