Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the ADA (passed July 26, 1990), the Tampa Wheelathon takes to the open road. The Freedom Playground bus will travel 1990 miles from Tampa to St. Paul, Minnesota ending at the Gillette Children's Hospital. The bus will travel through 9 states raising awareness of the need for inclusive park and play spaces and reporting on unique travel destinations that are accessible to people of all abilities. 4 person teams raise a minimum of $1990 each to raise funds for an inclusive play environment at LaVoy Exceptional Center. Teams will "virtually" travel with the bus and follow their adventures online. Wheelathon Kick-off Party, September 4th. Welcome Home Party, October 30th.
